How my birthday went?
It wasn’t as fab as the last 2yrs (especially the year before last year…I vividly remember how awesome the celebration was) but it doesn’t make me less thankful. After so much debate with myself if I should go out, I gave in at around 9pm with the idea of going to Traders Hotel to chill out at the rooftop lounge, Azur. I could have done something and celebrated it in a special way but then I thought it’s just a freaking birthday so why the big deal right?!? There are many beautiful things to be grateful for over a “not so good birthday”…
1) My work visa got renewed w/o any delay (heard other expats are getting theirs after a month’s process)
2) Met my friend I call “Uncle” again (after a year or two I think?!)
3) Flew back home to surprise my Mom on her 71st birthday
4) Was able to visit Cebu after a decade (and Magellan was happy to see me, lol!)
5) Had a short lovely time with “Jenny” - a very good friend of mine (miss you Madam!)
6) Trip to Casa Rica Islet (thank you Lola V!)
7) That one lazy day in our hometown, doing nothing only movie marathon
8 ) Was able to attend Mass after a long time at different churches (it felt great!)
9) “Road trip” with Yvonne (that was what you called real backpacking trip noh Lola V?!)
10) Finally the long time wish to experience 3D & 4D was realized, lol!
11) Jollibee, Mc Do, KFC, Kenny Rogers, Starbucks, Mang Inasal Moments, yay!
12) Got to experience Cokaliong Shipping Lines again (sarap lang sumakay sa barko oiii!)
13) Bonding moments with my siblings, nieces and nephews
14) Joyack’s visit at home (hope she took up that short course and is graduating now?)
15) San Mig session with Andrie, Doc Apple & Doc Dene’s (amoda sab pilay tag inom, lol!)
16) The “highlarious!” moments with Dylan, lol! (omg puno ng hangin tiyan ko sa katatawa)
17) Short Visit to Singapore
18) Great moments at Le Baroque, SG with Mike, Mayette & Maris (that night was just great!)
19) Met Eduard again although it was too short
20) The attention to detail of Dianne & Sudhir’s hospitality
21) Fishing trip and first visit to Maadhoo Island with office mates
22) My cozy Apartment
23) Picnic at Club Manila East with Cabognason Family
24) Picnic at a Private Resort in Laguna with my cousins & relatives all the way from Tate
25) Sand bank’s first visit this year
26) Langga’s visit here with his LC bag gift (love yah maskin assuming kaw sa ako ex!)
27) Stay at Anantara Dhigu as paying guests
28) Awesome contacts (resort discounted rates I am talking here, hehe)
29) Work visit to Viceroy Resort (that was the biggest accommodation I ever stayed chi!)
30) That there’s a gym beside my home building (as if magygym na ako, lol!)
31) This year brings so much good vibes
32) My eldest niece graduated from college na (my goodness I feel so old tuloy, lol!)
33) My one and only sis found job that she really wants
34) My FB timeline was flooded with birthday greetings (PM’s as well!)
35) My Boss got another property to manage (this means stability at my workplace tama?)
Arrrghh..and there are lot more reasons to be thankful for. Above list just represented the number of my special day but for sure if I have to list all of them down here I’d have a long entry.
Although I was a bit sad that the people I want to be with me on that day couldn’t be there to celebrate with me…I was comforted with the thoughts I am still lucky that’s the only problem I got. One day I could be with them…the most important thing is that I am still here and with that I am very thankful to the One Up There for giving me another year of life!
