Birthday Celebrations

Posted on

Three years ago (2010) I celebrated my birthday the grandest way at Soneva Gili now rebranded as Gili Lankanfushi for 04 nights through the help of Lola V which I bragged about it here.

I can only wish to go back there as I know it will never happen again ever (amard echos, lol!)

The following year (2011), I had my birthday celebration at Kurumba. A friend has arranged it for me (at least for a few hours stay) and we moved to Hulhule Airport Hotel later to continue the fun.

Then 2012 came. I celebrated my birthday at AZUR (roof top lounge) in Traders Male with someone I met online (She used to message me via my blog, inquiring how it is working here and the next thing I know, she was here already for work). So yeah, I messaged her if we could meet up on that day. We met and chatted non-stop. She didn’t have any slightest idea that I was celebrating my birthday until I settled our bill and were about to leave the place. I told her “greet me naman it’s my birthday” She was like “You’re unbelievable!” Lol! Whatta fun day!

Then this year, I kind of having this feeling that birthday celebrations are really meant for kids. So I thought to just go back home from work…but then a friend of mine was insisting we should go out. So after so much deliberations & around 9PM, we went to the only place where expats could socialize anytime. Where else?! #alamna lol! X :)

P.S

Be it be grand celebration or not I couldn’t ask for more. I am truly blessed and that’s something to be thankful for. But oh well, there’s one thing though. I hope this age comes with myself being wiser everlili. Other than that, carryvels na ako, hehe’

Boat Cruise

When I got this from my friend via PM at FB, it made me smile. Oh la lah! I am just happy that finally someone thought about us (expats). I mean, this one is something that’s meant for us (you need not check from anywhere where you could go and ask for a discount, hehe).

OK. I know  I am repeating myself but hey! I have been feeling unsociable for the past months, really. My itinerary is always home > office > home, this flyer actually made me realize that I need to go out sometimes and meet new people again.

Thought I should go for this especially that the price is affordable. Plus, this is going to be something different. I mean, most of my previous birthdays here were spent at resorts. So for a change, perhaps I go for this boat cruise. The only question now would be, who am I going to go there with? I just wish Ryan or Chat or Cristina could join me on this. X :)

Beige

Posted on

The other day after the many exchanged DM’s at Twitter with a cousin who is currently “hooked” with online shopping, it made me visit my favorite online sites again. Not to purchase but just to feed my salivating eyes.

Then after so much browsing of these sites, I fell in love with most of the items that is on beige. If you look inside my closets, you’d find mostly black colored clothes so it’s kind of surprising that I am liking this color. Some people that I know told me “black color sometimes can make you look older” (but I don’t mind as long as it hides my unwanted fats!) so perhaps, beige could be a good alternative for black. After all, this color seem too light and soft hence could make us look younger but wider or fatter maybe? Others may find this color boring. Hmmmm….

In case I’d have a BEIGE themed outfit for a day, here are some of my picks

(all Photos from LYST and I made the collage through Photo Wonder App)IMG_7940

I imagined myself wearing all of these in a city I’ve never been with my hair in a sleek ponytail, charrrrr (feeling bata ang peg, lol!) One day, I will surprise my friends by wearing in different color completely (no traces of black color). They’re so use to seeing me always in black. I could start with this color but definitely not the same items above. They’re too expensive. You can even buy a land somewhere in my hometown with the total amount (US$ 2811) of these items. See the prices down here…

1) Tory Burch Robinson Zip Coin Wallet – US$ 155
2) Top Shop Marl Wrap Dress – US$ 45
3) J Crew Natural Steele Canvas Basket Bag – US$ 148
4) Monique Pean Rose Moolly Mammoth Smoky Quartz Open Pearshaped Earrings – US$ 1620
5) Burberry High Top Shoes – US$ 372
6) Top Shop Natural Map Print Scarf – US$ 27
7) Linda Farrow Luxe Tan Round Optical Glasses – US$ 444

Sigh^ If only I could afford these items. But there’s nothing to be sad of. For sure, we can always find replicas of these items, lol!   X :-)

B-day Wishlist

Whoah! It’s April already, my birth month. How time flies? We celebrated the New Year not too long ago, right?! Maybe it’s just me.. ho ho ho, my number of existence in this world is going to be added with another year again.

Well, I always thought my birthday is an exciting date in my calendar aside from the festive season (Christmas & New Year celebrations). You see, this is the day where I would be able to name names of those who really are keeping me well in their minds (it isn’t a worldwide holiday date that everyone remembers)…Plus, I feel loved whenever I get those lovely birthday messages not to mention those unexpected pressies from friends who are not trying to be very thrifty, hehe.

So anyway, ‘am thinking to treat myself again (is there any better idea than gifting yourself? I had to make sure I receive a present on this day, lol!)…just wondering though which item I could save enough money and afford to purchase. They’re not really important but I want to feel good by rewarding myself on this occasion. They all seem nice and can only wish  I have a fat bank account to buy them all. Is there anything from the below you may like to sponsor? wish ko lungs* nawa’y maantig ang mga puso ninyo, Haraaay, lol!

1) RESORT GETAWAY – anywhere even for a night’s stay

I really miss the beach. The last time I’ve been to a resort was probably mid Dec.

2) MINOX DCC 14.0 camera

This camera can even fit in the palm of our hands, how cute?!

3) A Bottle of any Perfume

I only have YSL Saharienne and it’s half of its bottle already. Having said that, I have Ryan’s cologne which I use as alternative from time to time (it’s a men’s daily refresher from Bath & Body Works called Mountain Frost). I use it whenever I miss him and Chatru A.K.A Moseylad. So, excuse moi if I smell like a man sometimes, lol!

4) A New Bag

I feel like all the bags I own right now are with short handle, hmmm…except from my rip curl bag. I want to have something like a body cross bag, or a tote bag that has long strap. This is what I am talking about.

5) A High Top Sneakers

For some reasons I have been thinking about sneakers lately. I have looked around here but I just can’t find what I want. I am looking for something similar with the sneakers that I have (the pair of sneakers I am talking about in my shoe rack is almost perfect…it’s just that it’s like made of fur so you can just imagine if I wear it here, lol!). I want something like the below or a Vagabond Orixa high Top Flatform Sneaker

Unisex Play Comme Des Garcons for Converse High Top Sneakers

6) CD’s of CHARICE

Although I have her songs on my phone I still want her audio CD that has the Pyramid song in it (with other track listings of Reset, In this Song, Thank you, The Truth is, etc). I want the other CD also which was released in Asia called INFINITY Album. I have been on sleepless nights checking on updates about her. Knowing all these rumors about her is kind of depressing. I just want to hear her music..Hope she’ll come back from this hiatus, it’s been too long.

That’s all I could think of right now. If I remember something that I should add, I’ll do an edit with this post. X :)

P.S

Langga, I can imagine your face right now with my #6 wishlist, lol!

Anew from AVON

Posted on

I thought I should share this.

I have used a lot of facial products that I thought would work best for my skin. I’ve tried some affordable to a bit expensive ones thinking there would be an awesome effect after. But all didn’t work well with me. In short, I stopped using them and just continue on the usual basic facial regimen that everybody does, cleansing (washing of the face bah,  finetto!)

Then during my latest holiday in Pinas, my Aunt who works for AVON introduced me to some ANEW products. The main reason that I ordered a few of the items was just to please my aunt. What I didn’t know was she did a big favor to me. As in! #testamento…

After using these products for a few days, I observed my skin feels smoother and toned. I continued using them (religiously for almost 4 months now) and yay! some of my friends noticed some improvements in my skin tone as well, ahem.. They say “maaliwalas pagmumukha ko ngayon” lol! So, does it mean that the age spots and acne marks disappeared already? BONGA-lore India! Hehe…

- Paubos na ang aking pampaganda -

So anyway, here are the daily steps I do and the products I use…

IN THE MORNING:

Step 1: Cleansing – I use ANEW 360 White Clarifying Cleanser
Step 2: Toning – I use ANEW Rejuvenate Revitalizing Mineral Toner
Step 3: Moisturizing – I use ANEW 360 White Ultra UV shield SPF50/PA+++

IN THE EVENING:

Step 1: Cleansing – I use ANEW 360 White Clarifying Cleanser
Step 2: Toning – I use ANEW Rejuvenate Revitalizing Mineral Toner
Step 3: Moisturizing – I use ANEW Genics Treatment Cream
(this is because my ANEW Rejuvenate Night Revitalizing Cream is finished)

WEEKEND:

Same as the morning and evening steps except that I do the steaming (I use a towelette which I simply soak into a bowl with warm water)…I exfoliate using a revitalizing scrub from another brand (Valmont) and I do the masking by using ANEW rejuvenate revitalizing Gel Mask (which both are not in the photo)

I’ve never been this serious to fight against wrinkles and all. When  Lola V said someone could tell a woman’s age though her neck, I immediately found myself in-front of the mirror and was checking how my neck looked like. Arrrgh…getting older can be stressful pala, lol!

If you haven’t found a product that works on your skin, maybe you can try these products and perform dutifully the beauty steps that I do (char amo da oka korek). It may not do magic like making a 35 year old lady to look like 18 but for sure there will be improvements…you’d be feeling radiant, fresh and young again. As in! (I am doing some kind of sales talk as if I am paid by Avon) I can only wish, lol! X :-)

P.S

Anhaba na pala ng post nato, kalerkiiiiiiii!
